As a MIG Welder and Pipe Fitter, you will be responsible for welding and fitting 2-inch pipes in various settings. Your role will involve reading and interpreting blueprints, preparing materials, performing precise welds, and ensuring all installations meet industry standards and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welding: Perform MIG welding on 2-inch pipes and other varies sizes, ensuring strong and clean welds that adhere to safety and quality standards.
- Pipe Fitting: Measure, cut, thread, and assemble pipes using appropriate tools and techniques. Install and align pipes according to specifications.
- Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute welding and fitting tasks.
- Material Preparation: Prepare pipe surfaces for welding by cleaning, beveling, and fitting pipes as required.
- Quality Assurance: Inspect and test welds and fittings to ensure they meet project specifications and quality standards.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment and tools to ensure optimal performance.
- Problem-Solving: Address any issues or discrepancies that arise during the welding and fitting processes and implement corrective actions.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Proven experience as a MIG welder and pipe fitter, with a focus on 2-inch pipes and various sizes.
- Certification: Relevant welding and pipe fitting certifications (e.g., AWS, API) are preferred.
- Skills: Strong proficiency in MIG welding techniques and pipe fitting, including the use of welding equipment and hand tools.
- Blueprint Reading: Ability to accurately read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail and precision in all tasks.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy materials, work in various environments, and stand for extended periods.
- Safety Awareness: Knowledge of safety procedures and practices related to welding and pipe fitting.
