Job DescriptionJob Description

CD Staffing is a Florida based firm with more than 9 locations serving South and Central Florida. We are seeking a skilled Dispatcher to join our team. The Dispatcher will be responsible for coordinating transportation and logistics activities to ensure prompt delivery of goods. The ideal candidate must be primarily an excellent communicator and able to remain calm and composed, especially in emergency situations. You must be able to multi-task as well as take the appropriate action with little supervision. The goal is to enable different parties to communicate well by ensuring the accurate and timely transmission of information.

Monday – Friday 6am – 4pm

Every other Saturday 6am – 4pm (Mandatory)

$18-$20 per hr BOE

Must be bilingual, English and Spanish

Responsibilities

-Utilize transportation management systems to plan and execute shipments

-Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and internal teams

-Responsible for managing dispatch line, answering calls, routing calls to proper personnel and assisting clients and drivers with issues, questions, and concerns.

-Assists clients with coordinating and scheduling pickups.

-Analyze transportation data to optimize routes and schedules

-Coordinate shipping and receiving activities

-Ensure fleet management compliance and maintenance-

Perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently

Experience:
- Prior experience in logistics, transportation planning, or a related field is preferred
- Proficiency in using dispatching software for dispatching tasks is strongly preferred.
- Ability to analyze information and make informed decisions
- Strong communication skills to interact with various stakeholders
- Experience in shipping, receiving, or inventory management is a plus

Requirements:

  • MUST be Bi-lingual (oral and written)
  • Proven experience as a dispatcher or relevant position
  • Tech-savvy with knowledge of relevant methods
  • Fast typing with experience in data entry
  • Knowledge of procedures and guidelines for emergency situations
  • Outstanding organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Active listener with excellent communication skills
  • Sound judgment and critical thinking
  • High school diploma
