Job Title: Production Supervisor

Location: Plant City, FL

Shift: 6am to 6pm or 6pm to 6am

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Manager to join our team and help us maintain our high standards of production efficiency and product quality.

Job Summary:

As the Production Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our bakery production line. You will ensure that all products are manufactured efficiently, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will manage a team of production staff, ensuring they are well-trained, motivated, and working safely. This role requires strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Production Planning and Scheduling: Develop and implement production schedules to meet daily, weekly, and monthly targets. Ensure that production goals are achieved and deadlines are met.
  • Team Management: Lead, supervise, and mentor the production team. Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide training and development opportunities, and maintain high team morale.
  • Quality Control: Ensure all products meet established quality standards. Implement and monitor quality control procedures, and work closely with the QA team to address any issues.
  • Efficiency Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize resource use.
  • Safety Compliance: Promote a culture of safety and ensure all staff adhere to safety regulations and procedures. Conduct regular safety training and audits.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and finished products. Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure timely availability of materials.
  • Cost Control: Manage production costs by optimizing resource use and minimizing waste. Prepare and manage the production budget.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and repair of production equipment. Ensure machinery is in good working condition and coordinate with maintenance teams for timely repairs.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on production performance, including metrics on efficiency, quality, and safety. Use data to inform decision-making and drive improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Industrial Engineering, Business Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a production management role, preferably in the food industry.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Knowledge of production processes, quality control, and safety regulations.
  • Proficiency in production management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
