Perspectives Academy is dedicated to providing innovative and student-centered therapeutic educational experiences. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with students who benefit from a personalized and alternative approach to learning.

Job Responsibilities would include:

Dean of Students RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Assists the Administrative Team in supervising and maintaining the daily operation of

the buildings, including discipline of the students.

2.  Assists in therapeutic work with students and families who are experiencing barriers to successful

school engagement.

3.  Coordinates and direct social skills, including the curriculum, scheduling, staffing, and training.

4.  Works cooperatively with administration and therapists in dealing with students experiencing difficulties on a daily basis including classroom pullouts.

5. Works on special assignments as requested.

6. Works with parents and staff in dealing with student concerns.

7. Assists in implementation of procedures for maintaining building discipline and control.

8. Assists in implementation of all aspects of the PA Mission.

9.  Communicate clearly and in a timely fashion, both verbally and in writing, with parents and the Administrative Team regarding any disciplinary event or consequence and make relevant suggestions related to such discipline.

10.  Attend discipline meetings and student re-entry meetings with the Administrative Team as requested.

11.  Provide feedback and concerns regarding student applicants to PA.

12.  Assist the Administrative Team with review annual review and revisions of the Parent Student Handbook.

13.  Oversee student supervision during non-class time, including breaks, lunches, recess and before and after school, including coordinating staff schedules and coverage.

14.  As requested, assist in the hiring process of staff. 

15.  Develop and monitor student attendance and issues related thereto.

16.  Other duties as assigned.
