We're looking for a Warehouse Lead, working in the Manufacturing industry in Romeoville, Illinois, United States.
Our Client has immediate openings for experienced Warehouse Lead conveniently located in Romeoville, IL.
Our current openings are on the 1st shift, with schedules that offer improved work-life balance. The salary is $21 per hour.
Responsibilities:
- Assist and lead assigned activities associated with warehouse operations.
- Be responsible for managing the process of receiving, stocking, and quality control of all merchandise.
- Monitor performance and productivity to maximize operation excellence, which includes service, quality, and cost control.
- Be responsible for identifying areas of improvement and establishing updating existing work procedures and practices.
- Assist in determining staffing levels and assigning workload; to include training and cross- training of warehouse staff. Ensure packing and shipping meet quality standards and specifications.
- Ensure warehouse equipment is maintained and in proper working order.
- Oversee warehouse maintenance of equipment.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Experience Required for Your Success
- Proficient in both English and Spanish, required.
- Must have at least 5 years of warehouse experience.
- Associate's in business operations, management or related fields is a plus.
- Must have a strong working knowledge of federal and state shipping regulations and safety procedures.
- Must be proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Must have a strong lead or coordinator abilities.
- Must be able to operate a forklift.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to lift and move objects up to 75 pounds consistently with heavier weight necessary at times.
- Ability to perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms, legs, and moving your whole body such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, pushing, pulling, and handling various materials.
