Landscape Lighting Installation Tech

Job Description:

Illumination FL is seeking a qualified landscape lighting installation tech to assist with the daily installation and maintenance of residential and commercial landscape lighting systems. Ideal applicants will be experienced with both high-voltage and low-voltage components, but training will be provided for the right candidate.

Must have reliable transportation to be able to attend initial training sessions at our East Coast office, 2-3 days per week during the initial hire period. Gas and meals will be compensated.

Daily start time is 8AM, M-F. However, weekly totals may vary depending on job complexity, and overtime will be paid if an excess of 40 hours is reached.

Qualified candidates MUST possess a valid driver's license, be able to pass a background check, be trustworthy, dependable, and able to work independently. We are looking for a team player with a positive attitude.

Job Responsibilities:

• Trenching and burying wire

• Running cable

• Tie-in lighting fixtures

• Mounting and wiring transformers

• GFI installation

• Timer / photocell installation

• Testing components to ensure system is working properly

 

Job Skills Required:

• Familiarity with high and low voltage lighting

• Electrical experience

• Knowledge of how to properly install and wire light fixtures

• Experience troubleshooting and maintaining electrical systems

• Working knowledge of electrical installation best practices

 

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and bend over while digging, burying, and installing wires and fixtures

• Must be able to work and in all weather conditions including rain and heat

• Ability to move, lift, and work around outdoor obstacles including existing landscape and hardscape
