Job DescriptionJob DescriptionRevere Electric Supply Company, a well-established electrical automation distributor and market leader, is seeking an Inside Automation Support Specialist for Rockwell Automation PAC / PLC / IO / HMI / Software and related products. This individual will join a team of over 25 Inside and Outside Automation Specialists that cover all Rockwell and Technology Partnering products.

The Inside Technical Specialist (ITS) will provide technical support for our internal resources and our customers. Products for this role include Rockwell Automation products and Vendor Partner Products needed to provide a complete solution offering. This role is an in-office based position with the possibility of occasional customer onsite support.

The ITS will have the responsibility to be the first line of technical support, working closely with their respective Product Specialist team. Considered applicants will have experience demonstrating technical skills and the desire to assist customers in the understanding of products and application concerns.

Responsibilities and Duties include:

  • Technical and Sales:
    1. Demonstrate core competency for the current technology as it relates to the supported products.
    2. Identify and resolve technology issues for customer applications.
    3. Assist all Revere roles with any related technical support.
    4. Willingness and desire to participate in ongoing training to maintain technical competency.
    5. Prepare quotes/BOMs for customer applications.
    6. Preparing demoes for customer engagements.
    7. Tracking of Revere demo assets.
    8. Help in supporting Customer Experience environments at Revere locations.
  • Customer Facing:
    1. Support sales activity by accurately and swiftly identifying the appropriate steps to take for the resolution of customer issues.
    2. Discuss product capabilities to customers over the phone, virtually and e-mail.
    3. Promote the value-add of assigned products in competitive situations.
    4. Effectively listen, communicate, and gain consensus.

Qualifications:

  • Four-year engineering/technical degree preferred. Technical associate degree and applicable experience considered.
  • Proficient within assigned product groups.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in the Industrial Automation market is preferred.
  • Team-oriented individual who strives for customer satisfaction.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficient with Windows based operation systems and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong work ethic and self-motivated
