Global Biopharmaceutical company located in Orange County, CA is looking to identify and hire a Calibration Technician for a contract assignment. The qualified professional will manage vendor scheduling and oversight, managing the departmental work request system, and supporting annual vendor service agreement renewals. The Calibration Technician will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

  • Creating, maintaining, and correcting equipment records in Blue Mountain Regulatory Asset Manager (BM-RAM) system per FMSOP-009.
  • Oversight, data entry, review, approval launch, and closure of all Blue Mountain Regulatory Asset Manager (BM-RAM) work events.
  • Thorough understanding of Calibration Technician work group function.
  • Work with Facilities Manager to develop and implement a basic strategy to verify and improve BM-RAM equipment record accuracy.
  • Support Equipment Acquisition Notification process per FMSOP-016.
  • Daily maintenance of Facilities Department KPI “dashboard” spreadsheet.
  • Scheduling of vendor-performed services.
  • Perform end-of-month (EOM) physical verification of calibration & PM stickering. Familiarity with location and status of equipment.
  • Familiarity and compliance with all appropriate cGMP requirements and guidelines.
  • Oversight and review of work request status.
  • Support of Waste Management program per SSOP-004.
  • Support of internal and external audit activities.
  • Support Facility Change Request (FCR) activities per FMSOP-004.
  • Maintaining contractor/vendors insurance information (liability/Workers’ Comp)
  • Support Access Control activities per FMSOP-032.
  • Support departmental Maintenance, Repair and Operations (MRO) purchasing activities as appropriate.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required, some college coursework preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in the medical device, pharmaceutical, or biomedical industry.
  • Proven experience dealing with contractors, vendors, and technicians.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel); Access, PowerPoint, and Visio are preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to determine and execute tasks efficiently and logically.
