Job DescriptionJob Description

Position Summary: The Staff Accountant will collaborate closely with the Chief Financial Officer and other departments to provide exceptional accounting operations for The Claussen Group and related entities. This position is responsible for supporting all accounting and financial related activities. These include but are not limited to; AP/AR, account reconciliations and general ledger accounting. The Staff Account will ensure distribution of financial and management reports that are completed with accuracy and efficiency. The employee will be knowledgeable in accounting best practices, detailed-oriented, and be able to work independently as well as a team player.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Perform professional level accounting duties according to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.

· Prepare billing by summarizing information and analyzing job cost estimates.

· Review and match invoice/receipts with purchase orders and post accounts payables.

· Monitor accounts receivables/collections.

· Verification of employee timecards to customer accounts’ for appropriate billing.

· Assist with all accounting functions and additional duties as assigned.

Requirements:

· Associate or Bachelor’s degree in accounting, preferred and/or equivalent experience.

· 3+ years of professional experience in accounting.

· Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (especially Excel) and QuickBooks software.

· Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

· Keen attention to detail.

· Great project management skills, including organization, time management and prioritization.

· Ability to communicate effectively and professionally, both in writing and verbally, with management, employees, and customers.

· Physically able to sit for prolonged periods at a desk, work on a computer and able to lift medium loads.
