The School District of Whitefish Bay is seeking a part-time (.50 FTE) Junior Kindergarten Teacher to begin in the 2024-2025 school year at Richards Elementary School. This teaching position is benefit eligible. Deep knowledge of emergent literacy and math development will serve this teacher well as she/he joins the kindergarten team with an expectation of collaboration and co-planning. Experience in early childhood and with special education will be helpful.

Candidates should have a desire and proven track record of nurturing students academically, socially, and emotionally in a classroom of diverse learners. With an expectation of continual growth for all students, candidates should understand the growth mindset and embrace the challenges of creating well managed classrooms that provide engaging instruction. Preference will be given to candidates with proven skills in problem solving, developing strong relationships with students, staff and families, and a strong work ethic.

The successful candidate will hold or be eligible for valid Wisconsin DPI certification in Early Childhood Education to cover the Junior Kindergarten (4K) level.

Reasonable and reliable attendance is a requirement of this position/job. The final candidate must successfully complete/pass a criminal background check, pre-employment requirements (physical, TB test, etc.), and hiring paperwork.
