Surveying Technician

Imprimis Group has partnered with a structural engineering firm, and they have an immediate need for a Sr. Survey Technician. The candidate for this position will have a myriad of structural and survey designs while producing high quality work and adhering to strict deadlines.

DIRECT HIRE – ONSITE – GARLAND, TX
$75-90K - GREAT COMPANY CULTURE

Responsibilities:

• Utilize strong CAD skills, particularly in AutoCAD, for surveying projects.
• Proficient in Carlson Software for Surveying, Civil 3D, and Trimble Business Center (TBC) Software.
• Assist field personnel with field collection, utilizing Trimble and Leica controllers.
• Possess or develop a deep understanding of land title for surveying purposes.
• Manipulate LiDAR data using Trimble TBC and Leica Cyclone software.
• Analyze the quality of GPS vectors in Trimble TBC, understanding GNSS principles.
• Apply knowledge of measurement science and Least Squares analysis to conventional and GNSS survey data.
• Compile surveying products for publication or use by engineers/architects with at least five years of technical experience.
• Produce survey reports, demonstrating proficiency in English (Spanish is advantageous but not required).
• Communicate effectively with other professionals through professional level reading and writing skills.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of field experience in surveying and LiDAR data manipulation required.
• Minimum of 5 years of technical experience in office-based surveying or demonstrated aptitude.
• Proficiency in English with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in CAD, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Carlson Software and Trimble software required.
• Strong understanding of the science of measurement and has proven experience analyzing conventional and GSS survey data.
