Sr. Healthcare Project Consultant Responsibilities

Build an in-house Occupation Health Department comprised of a team of healthcare professionals to provide medical support in the form of injury case management, promote employee health and well-being, and ensure compliance with health regulations.

  • Conduct a comprehensive needs analysis through interviews with relevant internal stakeholders to determine departmental/state needs.
  • Develop the business case for presentation to the executive leadership team.
  • Develop a strategic plan outlining the goals, objectives, and structure of the in-house nurse department aligned with the organization's mission and objectives.
  • Recruit, hire, and onboard qualified healthcare staff based on the organization’s needs and budget.
  • Develop policies and procedures governing the operations of the occupational health department, including protocols for patient care, medical emergencies, confidentiality, and documentation.
  • Provide occupational health services such as pre-employment screenings, health assessments, immunizations, and medical surveillance to ensure compliance with workplace health and safety regulations.
  • Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of healthcare services provided by the occupational health department and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Development of and recommendations for best-in-class solutions and departmental hierarchy structure.
