Service Technician Job Description

Seeking an HVAC Service Technician to service the Cedar City, Utah area. This individual is responsible for the installation, retrofit and primarily the repair of HVAC/environmental control systems and light refrigeration.

Job functions and duties (other duties may be assigned)

· HVAC service and troubleshooting. Work with or without supervision to complete assignments and gain knowledge of products/processes.

· Safety Minded. Aware of the many potential hazards associated with our industry.

· Supervisory responsibilities.

· Active Learning Skills. Understanding the essential need of new information and pursuing on-going training.

· Good communication skills. Good listener with complete tasks as instructed to help negotiate complex problems and deliver competent customer service solutions in an honest and believable manner.

· Team Minded. Enjoys helping others to succeed.

Education and Experience

· High School Diploma or GED equivalent

Language Skills

· Ability to comprehend simple written and vocal instructions, short correspondence, and memos.

· Ability to write simple correspondence.

· Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to supervisors and other employees of the organization.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

· EPA refrigeration license

· Valid driver's license

This position requires working outdoors, in mechanical/equipment rooms and in possible extreme weather conditions.

· The employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and heavy equipment.

· The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions; risk of electrical shock (high voltage) and vibration.

· The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold, and extreme heat.

· The noise level in the work environment can be loud.

Work Availability and Requirements

· Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as required.

· Daily travel requirements with rare overnight travel.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $45.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
