Phone Triage Nurse

We are seeking an experienced LPN/RN Phone Triage Nurse for an OBGYN office in the south Atlanta Ga area. Must have private practice and preferably OBGYN experience.

THIS IS A FULLY IN-OFFICE ROLE

Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00 am -5:00 pm 
Pay based on experience and credentials.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Current R.N. or LPN License and at least 3 years of experience with OB/GYN patient care.
• Degree from a 4-year accredited college program.

Duties include but bot limited to:

• Triaging, screening and returning patient phone calls as directed by providers.
• Recognizing and managing emergent phone calls from patients and/or Labor & Delivery.
• Calling, faxing, electronic transmission and/or mailing prescriptions to patients, pharmacies and/or other agencies, maintaining accurate records on the same. 
• Calling, faxing, electronic transmission and/or mailing order to requesting facilities.           
• Assisting providers as directed.
• Maintaining accurate and complete records of nursing care and observations. 
• Schedule patient appointments when needed or transfer to the scheduling department.
• Educating and informing the patient or caregiver according to provider instructions.
• Providing support for coverage in other clinical areas.
• Completion of patient FLMA or Disability forms.
