Receiving Clerk – 1st Shift – Hendersonville - $20.00/hr.

PrideStaff is recruiting for a Receiving Clerk for 1st Shift for a manufacturing company located in Hendersonville.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Receive raw material ingredients, verify all paperwork for accuracy and completion and verify correct storage location. 
  • Enter all receiving purchase orders in the company’s system once all verifications and calculations have been completed.
  • Ensure correct color labels are used when printing and tagging due to various ingredient “types”.
  • Ensure proper handling and storage when receiving in Sensitive and Organic Ingredients to prevent cross-contamination.
  • Sample concentrate ingredient items within 24 hours upon arrival, unless item is frozen.
  • Plan ahead to ensure space is allocated and made if needed in storage locations for the following day’s incoming orders.
  • Organize coolers and freezers to support FEFO and daily inventory cycle counting to ensure ingredient rotation is occurring, pulling out the oldest ingredient first.
  • Utilize forklifts or other handling equipment to move material to and from dock or warehouse area to storage locations.
  • Accountable for food safety, food quality and regulatory requirements
  • Notify management about actual or potential food safety issues
  • Adopt and maintain all SQF requirements for their position

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of two (2) years of related experience
  • Experience in the food/beverage industry a plus
  • Detailed oriented and the ability to multi-task
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Team-oriented
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Hours of Work:  1st Shift – 6:00 am to 2:30 pm
