Welder/Fabricator

Job Summary: Uses hand-welding or flame-cutting equipment to weld or join metal components or to fill holes, indentation or seams of fabricated metal products. We expect our welders to complete each job within a specific deadline. Our ideal candidate has at least one year of welding experience and a working knowledge of standard welding tools and techniques. Knowledge of Tig Welding a plus

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Utilize industry tools and equipment, including powered saws, hand shears, chipping knives, portable grinders, hand files, and scrapers
• Use precision measuring tools to inspect grooves and angles
• Weld parts in flat, vertical, and/or overhead positions
• Fabricate and manufacture metal parts for later assembly
• Produce strong, clean welds
• Test output to ensure strength and tolerance of welds
• Maintain proper equipment; repair when needed

Requirements/Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior experience welding, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Familiarity with common welding tools and procedures, including MIG welding TIG welding, metal fabricating, grinding, and finishing metals
• Ability to stand, crouch, and occasionally lift heavy equipment
• Proficient in basic math
