Position Overview:
We are seeking compassionate and reliable Companion Drivers to join our team. As a Companion Driver, you will provide transportation, companionship, and assistance services to our clients across the Fayetteville area. You will support ambulatory clients, ensuring they arrive safely and comfortably at medical appointments, social events, and other destinations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Transportation & Companionship: Provide safe and reliable transportation services, accompanying clients to medical appointments, social activities, and more.
• Client Assistance: Assist clients in and out of the vehicle, and help with personal items as needed. This may include staying with them during appointments or events.
• Vehicle Maintenance: 10 years and newer, 4-door sedan or small SUV. Ensure the cleanliness and proper maintenance of your vehicle, adhering to all safety protocols.
• Safety First: Operate the vehicle responsibly, practicing safe wheelchair securement, driving and moving techniques at all times.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience driving a multi-person van or shuttle bus.
• Age Requirement: Must be at least 23 years old.
• Preferred Background: Prior experience as a Caregiver, EMT, Nurse, or NEMT Driver is highly desirable.
• Licensing: Must hold a valid NC driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Background Check: Successful candidates will pass a criminal background check and a DOT 5-panel drug test.
• Certifications: Possession of CPR/First-Aid/AED certification is preferred, or a willingness to obtain it.
• Tech Savvy: Proficiency with smartphones and transportation management apps is a plus.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Personal Attributes: A genuine passion for helping older adults, strong teamwork mentality, and excellent interpersonal skills.
