Resident Nurse

As a Resident Nurse in our Assisted Living Facilities (Dorian Place, Wellsprings, and Indianhead), you will play a crucial role in providing compassionate and skilled nursing care to our residents across all three communities. You will collaborate closely with our interdisciplinary team to ensure the highest standard of care, promote resident well-being, and maintain a supportive environment. Your expertise and dedication will contribute directly to enhancing the quality of life for our residents.
Responsibilities:
- Clinical Care:
- Assess residents' health needs and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Monitor and record vital signs, symptoms, and medical information.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and provide first aid as needed.
- Coordinate with physicians and other healthcare professionals for comprehensive care management.
- Supportive Services:
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents.
- Foster a safe and comfortable environment for residents.
- Documentation and Communication:
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members regarding residents' care plans and progress.
- Participate in interdisciplinary meetings to discuss resident care and developments.
- Educational Support:
- Educate residents and families on health management and disease prevention.
- Provide guidance and training to caregivers and other staff members on healthcare procedures and protocols.
- Quality Assurance:
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and facility policies.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance resident care and safety.
- Contribute to maintaining a clean, organized, and professional environment.
Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of [state].
- Experience in geriatric or long-term care preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and independently.
