Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced CDL Instructor/Trainer with proven expertise in classroom and range facilitation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering comprehensive driver training and development programs that comply with Federal, State, and company regulations. The role involves assessing and coaching drivers using both in-truck and simulator environments, maintaining accurate training records, and fostering a positive learning atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

Driver Training & Development:

Deliver driver training sessions in classroom settings, one-on-one, and through hands-on methods.

Utilize various instructional techniques including role-playing, simulations, team exercises, group discussions, and multimedia presentations.

Record Maintenance:

Keep accurate records of training attendance, class completions, evaluations, and coaching sessions in the appropriate systems.

Safety Functions:

Perform safety-related duties including accident reviews and driver behavior assessments.

Qualifications:

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience preferred.

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in training and development delivery.

Experience in the transportation industry is a plus.

Licenses & Certifications:

Class-A CDL (Interstate) and current license , active Medical Certification required, or the ability to acquire within 90 days of hire.

Knowledge of federal and state traffic laws is preferred.

Skilled in operating articulated vehicles and trailers up to 53’ is preferred.
