Airwolf Elastomerics, an established Elastomeric and custom engineered high performance rubber manufacturer for Aerospace, Defense, Rail and other industrial applications, is seeking an Elastomerics Shop Technical Supervisor. This key employee will supervise the work of others and also be involved with hands on production in the shop. Primary duties will be to run, supervise and coordinate production activities at our plant in Erie PA.

 

Responsibilities:

- Good supervisory skills.

 - Understanding of preparation of metal surfaces for bonding including sandblasting and zinc- phosphatizing.

 - Understanding metal primer and adhesive system & inspection methods.

 - Understanding of cure parameters for Natural rubber, neoprene, HNBR, and Silicone.

 - Understanding of stiffness requirements and Load / Deflection Testing.

 - Understanding of testing the tensile strength of rubber specimens.

 - Understanding of basic rubber mold design.

- Oversee operator quality and ensure First Article and other quality Inspections are completed.

- Review production schedule with operations manager and adhering to safety guidelines.

- Must be able to multitask, meet deadlines in a team environment.

- Work independently with little supervision.

 

Qualifications:

Experience in the production of Elastomerics and highly engineered high performance rubber products.
