Job DescriptionJob Description

NORMAL WORKING HOURS:  7:00 a.m. –  3:30 p.m. (30 min lunch)

FUNCTIONS OF POSITION:  Pick up and delivery of motors at customer site

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Delivers and picks up motors at customers and subsidiaries
  • Load and secure truck motors and materials for delivery
  • Responsible for keeping truck clean and reporting mechanical problems
  • Make sure material and packing slip match when delivering
  • Fueling trucks and turning in receipts
  • Various shop duties when not making deliveries; including cleaning shop areas and assisting mechanics & office where needed

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience driving large trucks with standard transmission
  • MVR that meets safety policy requirements
  • Knowledge of city and surrounding areas in MS & AR
  • DOT physical
  • License with F Endorsement
  • Good recordkeeping skills
  • Good communications skills
  • Neat appearance (customer contact required)
  • Neat, legible handwriting
  • Ability to drive forklift and familiarity with truck maintenance requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and to maneuver any single article weighing over 70 pounds with appropriate equipment
  • Attention to details
