Job DescriptionJob Description

ULG Skilled Trades has an immediate need for a Construction Superintendent in Fort Wayne, IN.

Job Details:

  • Pay: 80,000 First Year Salary
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Hours: 40+
  • Length: PERM

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of construction project from planning to implementation
  • Allocate resources for assigned projects
  • Supervise onsite personnel and subcontractors in office buildings and medical facilities
  • Interface with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, city and county officials, and clients
  • Negotiate with contractors to receive reasonable order costs
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship that adhere to original plans and specifications

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in construction management or other related fields
  • Strong leadership qualities
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Deadline and detail-oriented
  • Must possess all basic hand and power tools, hammers, chisels, screwdrivers, levels / laser measurement devices, saws, cordless drills, utility knife, chalk, tape measure, and any necessary tools needed for the assignment.
  • Standard construction PPE must be worn on all jobsites (hard hat, hi-vis, gloves, eye protection, steel toed boots, and harness / double lanyard if applicable).
  • Special consideration will be given to candidates with valid trade or safety certifications.
