Chrysalis Psychiatry is a growing outpatient mental health practice in Albuquerque, New Mexico. We offer a variety of mental health services including medication management and interventional treatments for PTSD, depression, and other mental illnesses. We are looking for a motivated and hard working individual to join our team as a Medical Assistant. Job responsibilities will include traditional MA duties such as assisting with front desk/reception duties, administering EKGs, and checking vital signs, as well as assisting with TMS treatments. TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation) is a safe, effective, and cutting-edge FDA-approved treatment for depression that has made a dramatic difference in the lives of hundreds of thousands of patients. You will receive all the training needed to assist with this treatment.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with front desk reception duties
    • Check patients in and out
    • Answer phones, assist patients in solving problems when able, and relay messages to appropriate provider or staff member
    • Scheduling new patients and follow-up visits with established patients
  • Submit prior authorizations for medications
  • Assist with refill requests
  • Administer EKGs
  • Checking vital signs and document in the EMR
  • Assist with administering TMS treatments

  • Empathetic
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfort with checking vital signs and administering EKGs
  • Training/certification as a medical assistant
  • Experience preferred but not required
