ShopSabre has immediate openings for experienced MIG welders who take pride in their craft. Our welders will be operating appropriate equipment to put together table frames and parts with a great deal of precision. Your job is important as it provides the foundation for our CNC machines which is critical to the quality and operational performance of the machines.

Responsibilities:

Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements

Set up components for welding according to specifications (e.g., cut material with powered saws to match measurements)

Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded

Align components using measuring devices, rulers etc. and clamp pieces

Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal, or overhead)

Repair machinery and other components by welding pieces and filling gaps

Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws

Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety

Maintain a clean and organized work area

Requirements:

Experience as a welder (Minimum 2 years)

Experience in steel MIG welding and steel MIG welding procedures (Minimum 2 years)

Experience in using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, grinders etc.)

Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective gear (face-shield, gloves, steel toe boots etc.)

Ability to work independently and as a team in a fast-paced environment

Able to adjust on the fly to new tasks and assignments

Team player who is willing to jump in and help where needed

Basic math skills and ability to read a tape measure

Strong attention to detail

Ability to lift 50 pounds or more regularly

Reliable and dependable

Proficient in English
