Job Title: Part-Time Bilingual (Mandarin & English) Staff Pharmacist

Location: Plano, TX

Job Type: Part-time, 1-2 Days/Week (Monday or Friday preferred)

Starting Date: September 16, 2024

Shifts: 9:00 AM 6:00 PM

Job Overview:

RPh on the go is seeking a dedicated and experienced Part-Time Staff Pharmacist for an independent retail pharmacy in Plano, TX. We are looking for a bilingual (Mandarin & English) professional with a strong background in retail pharmacy and prior authorization. This position offers a long-term opportunity with consistent weekly shifts. The ideal candidate will be a quick learner, especially in adapting to new software systems used in thepharmacy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise pharmacy staff and manage the opening and closing of the pharmacy.

  • Accept and verify prescription/refill information from patients.Retrieve and follow up on phone prescription orders from physicians

  • .Access and review patient records and third-party parameters. Counsel patients on prescriptions and over-the-counter medications. Resolve customer issues and escalate to supervisory staff as necessary.

  • Fill, dispense, and check prescriptions per legal and policy requirements. Counsel patients on their medication therapy and answer any inquiries.

  • Maintain inventory control, assist with physical inventory and returns. Check stock for recalls/expired items and verify controlled medication orders. Review patient medication profiles for therapy duplications or drug interactions.

Job Requirements:

  • Language Skills:Must be fluent in reading, speaking, and typing in both Mandarin and English.

  • Experience:At least 1 year of retail pharmacy experience. Experience with prior authorization is required.

  • Skills:Excellent customer service skills. Ability to learn and adapt quickly to new software systems (Text Request and Digital Business Solutions).

  • Licensing:Active and clear pharmacist license for the state of Texas.
