QC Chemist(pharmaceutical)

Location: Novato, CA. (On-Site)

12 month assignment (Great potential to extend or convert)

Pay Rate: $28/hr.

Schedule: M-F, 1pm-11:30pm

On behalf of our client a leading pharmaceutical company specializing in developing therapeutics for patients with life threatening rare genetic diseases, we are seeking a dedicated Quality Control (QC) Analyst to join their team. In this role, you will perform microbiological and analytical testing on in-process intermediates and various stages of drug products. Working under minimal supervision and adhering to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) guidelines, you will support the manufacturing of both commercial and clinical therapeutics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct microbiological and analytical test methods, including Protein determination by Bradford and UV Absorbance, Enzyme activity assays, Endotoxin detection, Bioburden quantification, High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), and Total Organic Carbon (TOC) analysis.
• Ensure timely facilitation and processing of incoming samples, including receipt and accessioning.
• Maintain sample throughput and manage laboratory supplies and reagent preparation.
• Perform routine housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment.

Education and qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant field in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Biotech and 1-3 years of relevant laboratory experience, with a preference for QC-specific experience.
• Proficiency in executing microbiological and analytical methods in compliance with cGMP guidelines.
• Must be ok with working in a fast paced environment, as well as in a team.
