Job Title: Residential Superintendent

Location: Jacksonville, NE FL

Position Type: Full-Time

Experience Required: Minimum 10 Years

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Residential Superintendent with a strong background in overseeing residential construction projects, including ground-up, renovation, and remodel phases. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience as a Superintendent and possess the technical skills and leadership abilities necessary to ensure successful project completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Oversee all phases of residential construction projects, including ground-up builds, renovations, and remodels. Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and according to specifications.

  • Plan Reading & Takeoffs: Accurately read and interpret construction plans, conduct takeoffs, and develop detailed work scopes and schedules.

  • Trade Coordination: Line out trades, schedule and manage subcontractors, and ensure that all work is performed in compliance with plans and specifications.

  • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, trades, vendors, and Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ). Maintain clear, consistent communication to ensure all parties are informed of project status and expectations.

  • Equipment Operation: Proficiently operate construction equipment, including skip loaders and other machinery as needed.

  • Safety Compliance: Ensure all work complies with OSHA standards. The candidate must hold at least OSHA 10 certification, with OSHA 30 certification preferred.

  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain daily logs, take progress photos, and utilize construction reporting software to document project status and issues. Proficiency in MS Office is required.

  • Problem Solving: Identify and resolve issues proactively. A self-starter with strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills is essential.

  • Self-Performance: Capable of performing hands-on construction tasks if needed to meet project goals.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience as a Superintendent in residential construction.

  • Strong knowledge of all phases of construction, including ground-up, renovation, and remodel.

  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans and conduct takeoffs.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Proficiency with MS Office and construction reporting programs.

  • Must pass a background check.

  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.

  • OSHA 10 certification required; OSHA 30 certification preferred.

  • Proficiency in operating skip loaders and other construction equipment.

  • Ability to perform hands-on construction work if necessary.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • OSHA 30 certification

  • Experience with PROCORE

  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus
