As a Maintenance Technician, you will be part of a hard-working team and will actively participate in the maintenance of the interior and exterior of the community while promoting resident satisfaction. The ideal candidate should be a strong self-starter, organized and skilled in basic maintenance of a multifamily housing property.

While the following information should be considered a comprehensive description of this position, it should also be noted that some responsibilities and duties may not be specifically listed.

· Make ready apartments for move ins

· Assist in completing work orders when needed.

  • Must be knowledgeable of pertinent laws and EPA and OSHA regulations
  • Must be on-call available bi-weekly
  • Must be knowledgeable of Electrical, basic plumbing, appliance repair
  • Must have basic set of hand tools (required)

The Maintenance Technician is to assist the maintenance supervisor in maintaining the physical integrity of the community. This involves insuring a safe, secure, and comfortable living environment for residents, visitors, and staff. The maintenance technician will also be assigned other duties by the maintenance supervisor. In the absence of the maintenance supervisor, the maintenance technician will be directed by the property manager.

Job requirements

  • High school diploma or GED (required)
  • EPA, state, HVAC and local certifications (preferred)
  • Pool and other state and local certifications (preferred)
  • Minimum 1-2+ years previous full-time work experience in apartment maintenance
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance (required)
  • Able to read service requests, schedules, and regularly converse with team members, residents, and vendors
  • Able to adhere to company policies, procedures, and practices
  • Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships
  • Able to maintain a professional and ethical atmosphere
