Amplified Home Health is in need of a Personal Care Assistant part-time in Pittsburgh and Beaver County areas. Must be 18 years old, and have valid PA license and proof of insurance.

Summary of Duties:

  • Assist patients with personal care needs: bathing, elimination needs, transferring, dressing/undressing, ambulation, and household tasks essential to the patient’s health in accordance with the personal care plan.
  • Assist patients with homemaking, including meal planning and preparation.
  • Shop for groceries and essential household or medical supplies.
  • Accompany patient to medical appointments when approved by the RN Supervisor.
  • May be asked to assist with other duties.
  • Document care daily and submit all required paperwork weekly.

Certificates/Qualifications

  • Successful completion of a personal care assistant training program or completion of equivalency exam with written proof of passing the exam.
  • Previous experience in a home environment desired.

Must be mature, emotionally stable, and display a sympathetic attitude toward patients at home with medical problems. Must commit to continuous training and adhere to Policy and procedure regarding the prevention of abuse and exploitation, reporting critical incidents, participant complaint resolution; Department of Health issued policies and procedures, fraud and financial abuse prevention, and quality management policies and procedure

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $12.00 per hour

COVID-19 considerations:
Personal Care Assistants will be provided hand sanitizer, masks and gloves for use during their work shifst. This position currently qualifies for a $3 per hour HAZARD PAY added to the hourly rate.
