With both large- and small-scale commercial metal stud construction, Sears Contract works in many areas, including corporate centers, retail malls, educational institutions, churches, data centers, healthcare, hospitality, and high-rise office and residential buildings. The company has offices in Raleigh, Charlotte, and Wilmington.
Reporting to the Director of Operations, a Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and tracking of multiple drywall projects from start to finish. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in project management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage budgets and timelines effectively.
Responsibilities include:
· Coordinate and manage all aspects of drywall construction projects, from conception to completion.
· Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resources.
· Communicate regularly with clients, contractors, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure project success.
· Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards on all projects.
· Manage project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports.
· Manage and supervise project team members, including subcontractors and vendors.
· Identify and resolve project issues and risks, and escalate as needed.
· Provide regular project status updates to management, general contractor, owner, etc.
· Conduct regular, weekly site visits and inspections to monitor progress, safety and quality.
· Ensure that all project deliverables are completed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of our clients.
· Conduct formal post-job reviews and provide objective productivity feedback to estimating and lessons learned.
Skills and Experience:
· Bachelor's degree in construction management or a related field.
· 3+ years of experience managing construction projects.
· Strong knowledge of construction processes and best practices.
· Excellent project management skills, including the ability to develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resources.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage relationships with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
· Strong leadership and team management skills.
· Proficiency in project management software and tools.
· Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
· Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
