Job Description:
As an Analyst on the US Insights Solutions team, you will design and execute research to help our advertisers succeed on our client's platform. You will develop insights-based narratives that help marketers understand their opportunity on the platform and plan their media campaigns via data-backed recommendations on keywords, creative, targeting, and timing.
Responsibilities:
- Design and execute the querying and analysis of first party platform data to make recommendations that impact advertisers’ business objectives on Pinterest for CPG
- As a complement to first party data findings, analyze third party syndicated data sources (comScore, GlobalWebIndex, Mintel) for industry perspectives
- Translate data into compelling, actionable narratives that factor in unique stakeholder input and business questions
- Work as a contributing member with Global Insights Solutions colleagues to tell holistic and compelling stories around a wide range of business opportunities on Pinterest
- 2+ years relevant experience independently analyzing large scale datasets, executing quantitative research, and using data to formulate business insights
- Expertise in data querying and manipulation in SQL; experience with Jupyter is a plus
- Experience building slide presentations in Google Slides; demonstrated interest in data visualization is a plus
- Strong communication skills and the ability to use data storytelling to craft engaging and actionable insights for a variety of professional audiences
- Track record of operating independently, demonstrating data-backed storytelling skills, being detail-oriented, and delivering results in a highly organized yet engaging manner
- Ability to connect data analysis to real business questions/objectives in order to impact business decisions
- Experience in the digital space, social media, or advertising industry a plus
