Job DescriptionJob Description

This employee primarily operates the mushroom fruit block production machine. This includes feeding and or servicing hoppers with the correct raw material called for on production runs. Employees allow blocks to cure for the appropriate time prior to placing blocks into the pasteurization tanks. Employee moves cured blocks to the appropriate tank(s) on warehouse carts. Employee installs or packs blocks into pasteurizing tank per company protocol. Employee inspects and services the pasteurization tanks with water, as appropriate. Employee removes and installs tank lids. Employee maintains a clean and safe working environment at all times.

 

Critical abilities:

· Able to stand for two hours between breaks.

· Able to bend over

· Able to lift 70Lb from the floor level, and carry 70 pounds upstairs to a hopper mezzanine

· Able to use a box cutter knife

· Able to tie and untie knots

· Able to work in hot or cold conditions (inside unheated and uncooled buildings)

· Able to read, adjust, and operate simple machine controls

· Able to hold 12 pounds at approximately 45deg angle, repeatedly, but momentarily.

· Able to perform repetitive tasks.

· Able to work unsupervised after training

· Able to have pride in the work you do and do a good job because it’s the right thing to do.
