Description/Summary
In this role, the Financial Analyst will be primarily supporting the overall financial management (balance sheet and income statement) and secondarily assisting with consolidation, analysis, and reporting for the business unit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide early warning on all business trends that affect the performance related to SA&O spend - including P&L, balance sheet, and operational issues, while identifying probable causes and solutions.
  • Oversee, manage, and consolidate all financial reporting and accounting functions.
  • Accountable for timely and accurate month-end closing, forecasting, quoting, working capital, and fixed asset management.
  • Performs monthly financial closing, which includes the posting of journal entries in SAP and reconciliation of accounts.
  • Prepare/submit monthly earnings call package.
  • Prepare/submit quarterly balance sheet review package.
  • Collaborate with engineering and sales to ensure collection of R&D reimbursements and Prototype income.
  • Work closely to reconcile intercompany balances.
  • Develop the budget/LRP, with particular emphasis on SA&O and R&D functions.
  • Participates in the fixed assets control and inventory.
  • Takes the initiative to take on challenging assignments and creates opportunity where none exists.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting preferred OR at least 3 years of professional Accounting experience
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Intermediate to advanced level using Excel (VLOOKUP's, pivot tables, sum-ifs, macros, etc.) to automate files
  • Intermediate level using PowerPoint to translate data from Excel and create presentations
  • Experience using SAP
  • Experience using OneStream
  • Strong oral/written communication skills
  • Extremely detailed-oriented and organized
