Title: HR Generalist


Location: Rockford, IL


Leading Edge Hydraulics, an ISO:9001 registered Integrator of Hydraulic Fluid Conveyance Systems, is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join our team located in Rockford, IL for nearly 60 years. The HR Generalist will be responsible for providing support in various HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, and compliance.


Responsibilities:

- Manage the recruitment process, including job postings, resume screening, and scheduling interviews using HRIS/HCM Systems

- Conduct new hire orientation and onboarding

- Provide guidance and support to employees on HR policies and procedures

- Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, 401(k), and paid time off

- Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations

- Assist with performance management and employee relations issues

- Participate in HR projects and initiatives as needed

- Handles employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling, and exit interviewing

- Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars

- Assists Accident Investigations (Interview all witnesses and compile a full report)

- Main contact for Workmen’s Compensation

- Assist Unemployment Hearings

- Assist harassment investigations and resolution

Requirements:

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field

- 3+ years of experience in HR Generalist role

- 18 Months Minimum Experience with Manufacturing

- Strong knowledge of HR policies and procedures

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

- Proficient in HRIS Systems / Paylocity Preferred as well as Microsoft Office

- SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred

- Other duties as assigned
