Job DescriptionJob Description

JOB SUMMARY:

Labor Solutions Professional is seeking an operation of narrow web or table rewind equipment operator.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Must perform the following duties without assistance: interpret job ticket, set up various rewind machines.

· Prioritize jobs, based on information from Finishing Supervisor.

· Inspect and analyze for correct customer requirements.

· Correctly interpret spec to for al customer specifications.

· Completely document all job history on proper forms and in the ERP System.

· Calculate correct number of counts and finished labels quantities for each machine.

· Adjust blades, air tension, or speed as necessary for proper rewind.

· Prepare and print appropriate core labels.

· Pull samples for customer, sales, and ticket that meet acceptable standards.

· Properly handle and make-ready perf dies, lineal scorers, etc.

· Complete daily time sheets when necessary and accurately record information in the PSI System.

· Communicate with Production Supervisors to ensure any unusual problems or circumstances are clarified before packaging processes are started.

· Perform other duties as requested.

· Maintain cleanliness of equipment and work area.

· Continually strive to learn and improve all processes.

· Follow safety rules/regulations, company procedures and policies.

· Respect and cooperate with individuals and assist others in reaching objectives.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

· Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.

· Frequent reaching, bending, stooping, and standing.

· Ability to visually inspect work for defects.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

· This person will be qualified based on education and or experience as per the requirements of the ISO documentation.

· Ability to work on complex jobs in a fast paced, quality focused environment.

· Ability to use problem-solving skills in producing jobs effectively.

· High school education or equivalent.

· Basic mathematics skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division of whole numbers and fractions.

· Ability to communicate/understand written as well as oral instructions.

· Reliability through attendance, punctuality, and attention to workstation.
