POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide project planning and management to inlcude technical entitlement processing and administrative support through all phases of land development. Significant involvement in the preparation and daily management of project schedules and budgets, interaction with a wide variety of technical consultants, as well as interaction with jurisdictions regarding the project approval process.

Job Duties:

· Preparation and facilitation of a wide variety of land development entitlements

· Significant interaction and guidance of technical consultants

· Review and coordinate consultant technical documents and reports

· Attend jurisdictional meetings and provide notes, action items and follow up as necessary

· Provide analytical analyses evaluating multiple development and utility service alternatives

· Due diligence vetting the regulatory, environmental, political and physical attributes of property

· Development and manage project schedules and budgets

· Assist in the preparation of partnership reports and updates

Technical/Professional Knowledge:

The successful candidate will possess a strong knowledge of local and Washington state land use entitlement processes. Accuracy and thoroughness in work activity and personal organizational systems is a requirement. Candidate must possess at least 3 years’ experience in land use permitting and have first-hand knowledge of SEPA, preliminary and final plats, lot line adjustments, conditional uses, FPA, NPDES, 401 and 404 permits. The position will interact with an in-house project manager, legal counsel, site designer and accountant as well as several entities outside the office in the course of daily duties. Interpersonal skills requirements include initiative, flexibility and persuasiveness in order to continually grow the strength of internal and external relationships. The level of work responsibility is designed to grow over time and it will be imperative for the successful candidate to adapt and develop efficient and effective skills to successfully complete work assignments within a fast paced environment.

Responsible for the following areas:

· Processing of land use entitlements

· Interaction with technical consultants

· Management of project schedules

· Attend all necessary jurisdictional meetings

· Assist the preparation of quarterly reports

· Building and strengthening relationships

Objectives/Mission:

Provide necessary daily assistance to specific project assignments to ensure an efficient, timely, and desired outcome. Continually learn and grow professionally taking on greater responsibilities over time.

Preferred Background:

· Degree in Real Estate, Urban Planning, Construction Management or related field

· Minimum 3 years’ practical working experience in land use permitting and entitlement processing

· Exceptional written and oral communication skills

· Valid WA State drivers license and daily access to a vehicle

· Ability to work evenings as necessary to attend jurisdictional meetings.
