Purpose of This Position:

You will be responsible for recruitment, retention, and some marketing activities. These responsibilities will include social media branding and the development and implementation of a progressive and evolving recruitment and retention plan.

Essential Functions of the Role:

  • Develop a Recruitment and Retention Action Plan by assessing staffing needs, utilizing turnover data, encouraging team feedback, and planning for future business demands
  • Actively source quality caregiver candidates and work collaboratively to establish core competencies/characteristics of quality caregivers
  • Conduct compensation analysis surveys to evaluate wage and benefit offerings to maintain Employer of Choice status
  • Maintain professionalism as a brand ambassador
  • Utilize existing collateral materials and develop pertinent resources to promote retention and a positive company culture
  • Create educational opportunities for caregivers to promote professional growth
  • Develop and maintain company online/social media presence and utilize platform for recruitment, retention, and marketing purposes
  • Evaluate local advertising options (real estate signage, banners, local publications, etc.) as well as recruitment and/or retention campaigns to promote caring careers and support/encourage current caregivers
  • Screen and interview prospective caregiver candidates
  • Evaluate and update screening and interview processes as necessary
  • Adhere to recruitment, selection, and hiring policies and procedures
  • Prepare new employee files and complete new employee paperwork
  • Schedule, host, and facilitate new caregiver orientation
  • Collaborate with office team to ensure a smooth 90 day transition for new caregivers (utilize this time to identify additional educational/training opportunities)
  • Plan, organize, and coordinate events to recognize and celebrate caregiver compliments, birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, business success, etc...
  • Conduct weekly office meetings to discuss recruitment efforts/results, caregiver prospects, and current roster
  • Adhere to budget allowances and collaborate with Director prior to new program implementation
  • Maintain absolute confidentiality of all employee and client information
  • Must be on call one week per month (additional bonus for on call week) – on call phone is provided for answering phone calls and texts outside of office hours
  • Additional tasks as discussed and needed

What You Need to Be Successful:

  • Bachelor’s in Business, Communications, Human Resources, or comparable
  • combination of education and experience
  • Experience and ease with public speaking and presentations
  • Ability to collaborate in a team environment
  • Ability to maintain a results-oriented outlook
  • Communication, active-listening, deductive-reasoning, and relationship-building skills
  • Capacity to plan, organize, prioritize, integrate, delegate, and accurately complete work
  • activities within specific deadlines while managing interruptions
  • Work independently and proactively with minimum direction and supervision
  • Potential to generate goodwill for the agency with applicants, prospects, clients, client
  • families, and referral sources
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to client service excellence and caring for caregivers
  • Must be able to lawfully work in the U.S.
