As our KOBOLD team continues to grow as the Industrial Instrumentation partner of choice, we are seeking a Technical Sales Representative at our location in the Robinson Township area (easy access from the Parkway West). This opportunity is ideal for a candidate with a technical mindset and background, who would flourish providing expertise to our customers and managing sales opportunities from lead generation through closing.

What will I do?

Collaborate with internal teams and external entities and customers to facilitate the overall success of product match to customer needs.

  • Propose products, systems, and services requiring technical knowledge of engineering and/or science and cost effectiveness.
  • Manage sales opportunities through the entire sales cycle.
  • Maintain and develop extensive knowledge of KOBOLD product parts, functions, and processes.
  • Call on management representatives to determine whether any potential need exists for products and services offered.
  • Collaborate and lead efforts with customers and production engineering to determine how products or services could be designed or modified to best match customer current or future needs.
  • Provide technical expertise as a resource for customers who have questions; recommend improved or upgraded products.
  • Collaborate with Engineers to better understand customer requirements and select appropriate solutions to apply.
  • Assist with coordination and communication relating to outside vendors for product information, pricing, or delivery times.
  • Update and maintain sales process information in the CRM for leads, opportunities & quotes.

What would make you a great fit:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in technical, science, or engineering related field; and/or equivalent work experience
  • 1-2 years of experience in a technical sales role is preferred
  • Manufacturing experience is preferred
  • Technical background with CRM software experience is ideal
  • Self-starter with business acumen and a drive for successful outcomes
  • Team player with a strong ability to collaborate and establish rapport with staff, customers, and all stakeholders
  • Strong customer service orientation and ability to thrive with problem solving skills and adapting to business needs 
  • Excellent communication ability, both written and verbal
  • You bring your best every day
