We are looking for competent personal care assistants to support physically or mentally challenged customers in their everyday lives. The fulfilment and satisfaction that comes with helping others surpass the challenges of this job. If you’re a compassionate, positive person who isn’t afraid to work hard, then this is a job for you. We expect you to be polite and a good communicator. Experience in housekeeping tasks and caring for the elderly or sick will make you a strong candidate.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct care and assistance to individuals in their homes
  • Provide emotional support
  • Assist with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, grooming and toileting
  • Inform Nursing Supervisors about uncommon events
  • Assist with mobility and transfers, including using proper lifting techniques for heavy lifting
  • Prepare meals and assist with feeding
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment
  • Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
