Job DescriptionJob Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our HVAC company. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient operations within our warehouse, including receiving, storing, organizing, distributing materials and equipment, and scrapping down units for recycling. This position requires a strong work ethic, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

**Responsibilities:**

1. **Receiving and Inspection:**
   - Receive incoming shipments of HVAC equipment, parts, and supplies.
   - Inspect and verify the accuracy of shipments against purchase orders and packing lists.
   - Document any discrepancies or damages and report them to the appropriate personnel.

2. **Inventory Management:**
   - Organize and maintain inventory levels within the warehouse.
   - Perform regular cycle counts and assist with inventory reconciliations.
   - Ensure proper labeling, tagging, and storage of materials for easy retrieval.

3. **Order Fulfillment:**
   - Prepare orders for delivery or pickup based on customer requests and internal requisitions.
   - Pick, pack, and stage materials and equipment for shipping or pickup.
   - Coordinate with delivery drivers and assist in loading/unloading trucks as needed.

4. **Quality Control:**
   - Ensure that all outgoing orders meet quality standards and are properly packaged.
   - Conduct quality checks on returned or damaged items and process them according to company procedures.

5. **Unit Scrapping for Recycling:**
   - Disassemble HVAC units and components in a safe and environmentally responsible manner for recycling purposes.
   - Separate materials such as metals, plastics, and electronics for proper disposal or recycling.
   - Follow company guidelines and regulations regarding hazardous materials handling and disposal.

6. **General Maintenance:**
   - Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.
   - Perform routine maintenance tasks on warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
   - Report any maintenance issues or safety concerns to management promptly.

7. **Documentation and Record-Keeping:**
   - Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, incoming/outgoing shipments, and inventory adjustments.
   - Generate reports as needed for inventory analysis, order tracking, and other purposes.
   - Assist with data entry and administrative tasks related to warehouse operations.

**Qualifications:**

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in warehouse management is a plus.
- Prior experience working in a warehouse or similar environment, preferably in the HVAC or construction industry.
- Familiarity with HVAC equipment, parts, and materials is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inventory management and order processing.
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand tools, safely and efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.
- Basic computer skills for data entry, inventory tracking, and generating reports.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects and perform manual labor as needed.
