Job Summary:

The general manager oversees day-to-day operations, hires, and trains qualified staff members, and maintains high food standards. The general manager will also be responsible for developing a positive brand image through consistent customer service and a strong understanding of restaurant protocol. With professionalism and a positive attitude, they will help contribute to the growth and popularity of Mr. Moto, as well as the long-term success of our employees.

Primary Objectives:

·         Develop a high moral culture that emphasizes quality, continuous improvement, key employee retention, and development.

·         Carefully review meal breaks and adjust time requests.

·         Consistently role model a customer-first attitude and exhibit the company's culture, mission, and values through everyday activities and behaviors.

·         Troubleshoot problems; promptly answers questions from stores in response to employee assistance, guest feedback, and complaints.

·         Assist in recruiting and hiring for store hourly positions, as needed.

·         Coach, mentor, and develop staff. This includes overseeing new employees' onboarding and training.

·         Responsible for promoting clean and safe working environments; strict adherence to all Safety and Health Department standards.

·         Check weekly and monthly reporting forms.

·         Schedule employees according to the labor budget.

·         Make sure all vendor orders are being placed through the proper channels. Syscom, Baja Produce, Greco, using vendor-specific portals or Chocco App.

Responsibilities and Operations:

·         Make sure everything is ready before the PM rush. This includes the dining area, stations, and prep work.

·         Assure MALT (music, air, light, tv).

·         Supervise/ coordinate 4 order types (delivery logistics, dine-in, pick up, to go).

·         Slice/salad display maintenance. Includes having sufficient fresh pizzas, knots, display salads, and pasta.

·         Restaurant maintenance that includes making sure everything works inside of restaurant.

·         Make sure restaurant cleanliness is to standards.

·         Manage food portioning.

·         Always enforce uniform policies.

·         Observe and monitor daily reports on Toast.

Required Skills/Abilities:

·         Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

·         Solid leadership skills: ability to make good decisions and carry out company policies by applicable regulations and procedures.

·         Experience in motivating team members to work together to achieve goals.

·         Experience confronting performance issues and taking corrective action, when necessary, as well as giving rewards and recognition.

·         Basic understanding of State Health, OSHA, EEOC regulations, and state employment laws.

·         PC proficiency in such applications as Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Qualifications and Requirements:

·         Restaurant Management Experience - 5 years

·         Reliable vehicle clean driving records.

·         Open availability:  Mornings, Nights, Weekends & Holidays

·         Serv-Safe certified 

·         Valid driver’s license & insurance.

·         Smart Phone (for communication, reporting, and general manager performances)

Physical Requirements:

·         The environment will be extremely busy and fast-paced.

·         Long hours per shift can be expected and continual engagement is common.

·         This is a kitchen environment with equipment ranging in temperatures of 450 degrees and up. It will be HOT

·         There will be exposure to standard cleaning chemicals such as general-purpose cleaners, quat sanitizer, bleach, degreasers, and wet towels.

·         Occasionally there will be exposure to wet or humid conditions if spills or accidents occur.

·         Employees will wash their hands continuously throughout their shift using soap and hot water to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards.

·         May be indoor or outdoor setting depending on store (varied weather conditions are expected).

·         Varying schedule to include evenings, holidays, and extended hours if business dictates

·         Work on covering callouts and working 7 days a week if needed.
