Our AV/low voltage Install Technicians wire and install home automation equipment on profitable projects for clients to leave them highly satisfied.

We are looking for awesome people to join our team of technicians at a fast paced and growing company. This is a residential install technician position focused on installing audio video equipment, alarm & access control systems, networks, window shades, and lighting systems into luxury/custom homes. This is a moderately skilled position that requires knowledge of basic low voltage system functions. We are continuing to grow our commercial automation sales and applications.

We are willing to train those with a desire to work hard and excel in the Audio Video and home automation industry. We have A, B, C and Pro Level technician positions available. AVS gives many opportunities to advance into a more skilled, higher paying position once work ethics, ability, & desire are established. Company vehicles and fuel are also provided from the shop to the job site.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, terminate, label, and test Cat 5e / Cat 6 / RG6 / RG11 cabling
  • Installation of low voltage electrical components
  • Install, label and test speaker and security system wiring
  • Build equipment racks and wire according to elevation and wiring plans
  • Pre-program automation systems and networks
  • Make programming changes to automation control systems
  • Complete installations according to project plans and proposals
  • Follow industry standards and building codes for installations
  • Maintain job site and vehicle cleanliness

Requirements:

  • Ability to be proficient with hand & power tools
  • Must be able to work at heights, off of a ladder and in confined spaces, and lift 50-75 pounds.
  • Must have the ability to sit, stand, stoop and bend for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to see and distinguish different colors, read small print, and hear and recognize audible signals.
  • Must have ability to read schematic wiring diagrams and drawings
  • Must be self-motivated, positive, professional, and willing to help create, develop and implement process improvements.
  • Must have good problem solving and critical thinking skills, and be able to communicate effectively with other employees and customers.
  • Maintain client privacy and personal professionalism at all times.
  • Must promote the Company's core values to all employees, vendors, clients and business partners
  • Flexibility to travel occasionally or work overtime as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Be a US Citizen
  • Have valid driver's license and good driving record
  • Pass drug screen and background check
  • Be able to acquire or purchase needed tools
  • Low Voltage/AV experience is a plus
  • Knowledge with Crestron, Savant, Control4, or Lutron is a plus
