Preschool Teacher

Skyline Education Preschool is a private preschool that shares the love of learning with our students and families. We are located at 2020 N. Arizona Ave. Chandler, AZ 85225, inside AZ Compass.   We are searching for teachers for the 2024-25 school year that love working with Pre-K and Preschool students.  You need to have the ability to lesson plan (using curriculum provided), incorporate fun themes, prepare materials, organize age appropriate activities & centers, manage the Procare childcare app, manage face to name sheets and cleaning schedules.  It is expected that you understand children's cognitive, social, emotional and physical development in order to ensure a safe and stimulating classroom environment where children are actively engaged and encouraged to succeed.  An ideal teacher should be able to communicate with parents and students in a professional matter, follow ADHS licensing requirements, Quality First Standards & Cognia accreditation standards and most importantly be a self starter.  The most successful candidates demonstrate strong classroom management, training skills, a caring personality, punctuality, patience, organized and previous experience working with children ages 3-5. College credits in Early Childhood are preferred, but candidate must have at least 2 years of prior experience working with children. 

Hours: Monday-Friday 9:00-5:00 or 7:00-3:30

Keep in mind, we do follow a traditional school calendar so there will be breaks throughout the school year. 

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement educational curriculum by developing classroom activities based on developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards.
• Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the interests and learning styles of children. 
• Lead by example; encourage teaching team success through modeling and coaching.
• Establish and enforce rules of behavior for children in their classrooms. 
• Patience and compassion suitable for working with young children
• Plan individual and group age-appropriate activities to actively engage children and encourage social, cognitive and emotional growth.
• Maintain frequent communications with parents through informal discussions, progress reports, and parent-teacher conferences.
• Ensure all center policies and state regulations are met.
• Ensure a healthy classroom environment – including maintaining appropriate hygiene and cleanliness standards and safety and security of children.
• Supervise teacher assistants and classroom volunteers to ensure they are following planned activities, hygiene and safety standards.
• Maintain accurate records, forms and files
• Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement
• Maintain a clean and tidy classroom

Requirements:

*TB Test upon hire

*Fingerprint Clearance Card IVP

*High Energy and the ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents and to foster a team environment)

*Registered on Arizona Early Childhood Registry

*DES Health & Safety Trainings Completed

*Associate's Degree in Early Childhood, or related field with a minimum of 30 Credits in ECE 

*2 or more years working in an early childhood setting
