Clinical Research COORDINATOR ASSOCIATE:  Job Summary

Our clinic seeks a Clinical Research Coordinator Associate to be part of a research team partaking in clinical trials for new medical devices and new medications. In this role, responsibilities include, working with the team to ensure that the research is done according to the protocol and to ensure patient safety. 

This includes:

  • Making sure the trial adheres to compliance, including GCP, IRB, and FDA requirements and guidelines
  • Patient screening over the phone
  • Scheduling and conducting pre-screening procedures to determine patient eligibility for a clinical trial
  • Answering the phone

You will be working closely with the rest of the research team to ensure the clinical trial process goes according to plan.

 

Clinical Research Coordinator Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support and coordinate day-to-day clinical trial activities
  • Patient screening over the phone
  • Scheduling and conducting pre-screening procedures of patients for current and future trials
  • Answering the phone
  • Becoming familiar with each of the clinical trials conducted by the research team
  • Interact with staff from the pharmaceutical companies conducting the trials when necessary

Clinical Research Coordinator Requirements and Qualifications

  • Certified medical assistant (CMA) – required
  • Excellent Phlebotomy, ECG, and Vital Sign skills
  • Good clinical skills and a strong work ethic required
  • Computer skill required with proficiency in Microsoft Office programs 
  • Attention to detail very important
  • Excellent  communication and interpersonal skills necessary
  • Excellent phone and interview skills to recruit patients for clinical trials
  • Clinical trial research experience is not required
