Dot Specimen Collector

As a DOT (Department of Transportation) Specimen Collector, you will be responsible for collecting urine specimens from employees in accordance with DOT regulations for drug and alcohol testing. You will ensure the integrity and confidentiality of the testing process while maintaining compliance with all relevant policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct urine specimen collections following DOT guidelines and procedures.
2. Verify the identity of individuals undergoing testing and ensure proper documentation.
3. Maintain the integrity of specimens by following strict chain of custody procedures.
4. Adhere to privacy and confidentiality guidelines throughout the testing process.
5. Properly label and document collected specimens for laboratory analysis.
6. Maintain accurate records of collections, including chain of custody forms and testing documentation.
7. Communicate effectively with employees undergoing testing to provide clear instructions and ensure compliance.

Requirements:

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Certification as a DOT Specimen Collector preferred.
3. Familiarity with DOT regulations regarding drug and alcohol testing.
4. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict procedures.
