We are seeking a reliable and organized Dental Receptionist to join our team. The Dental Receptionist will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced dental office environment. The ideal candidate should be friendly, have experience with dental office procedures, and have excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage the front desk
- Verify insurance coverage and assist patients with insurance-related inquiries
- Collect and process payments from patients
- Maintain patient records and update information as necessary
- Assist with managing the dental office's schedule and ensuring efficient patient flow
- Coordinate referrals to specialists as needed
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality
- Perform general administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a dental office or healthcare setting is preferred but not required
- Proficiency in dental software systems such as OpenDental
- Familiarity with medical terminology and dental procedures
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients, staff, and providers
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and the ability to maintain patient confidentiality
