Pay Rate: $18.00/hour
Shift: Must be open to work any shift
Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Material Handler to join our team in Stafford, TX. Under direct supervision, you will perform routine and repetitive assembly operations and processes, ensuring quality and efficiency in all tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure all quality standards are met in fabrication, inspection, and packaging tasks.
- Complete assigned tasks efficiently and accurately as directed by supervisory and planning personnel.
- Strictly adhere to assembly-related procedures and instructions.
- Report any material, product, or process deficiencies immediately, following current procedures.
- Accurately complete all inventory and packaging entries.
- Be available for any shift where training requirements are identified.
- Understand and apply the Quality Policy, documentation, and company objectives to all tasks.
- Promote and participate in Lean Enterprise Across Disciplines (LEAD) initiatives to improve manufacturing processes and metrics.
- Act safely and promote the Safety Program in all processes and procedures.
- Maintain a professional demeanor during customer visits and off-site fabrication jobs to uphold Cortland Company's reputation.
Skills and Competencies:
- Proficiency in using small hand tools and shop equipment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to identify issues and proactively implement solutions.
- Strong collaborative skills, with the ability to work well with other functions.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight timelines.
Education and Experience:
- Education: High School diploma or GED preferred.
- Experience: Manufacturing, assembly, or production experience is preferred.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to lift documents/materials up to 30 pounds.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
Work Environment:
- Primary work environment is a non-temperature controlled workshop/manufacturing facility.
- Exposure to high noise levels; adherence to safety protocols is required.
