Summary

Cadence Cycleryis seeking a passionate and experiencedBicycle Service Managerto lead our service department. In this role, you will play a key role in ensuring exceptional customer service, overseeing repairs, and maintaining a smooth workflow in our fast-paced environment.

Duties

Responsibilities:
  • Manage a team of bicycle mechanics, including assigning tasks, providing training, and ensuring adherence to quality standards.
  • Diagnose and estimate repairs for all types of bicycles, effectively communicating with customers about service needs and costs.
  • Prioritize repair orders and ensure timely completion within budget constraints.
  • Order parts and maintain inventory levels to keep the service department operational.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest bicycle technology and repair techniques.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols within the service department.
  • Provide excellent customer service, building trust and rapport with customers.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient service area.
  • Assist with sales and product recommendations when needed.


Requirements

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a bicycle mechanic, preferably in a retail setting.
  • Proven ability to diagnose and repair all types of bicycles.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and coach a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
  • Proficient in bicycle repair software (e.g., Workshop Software) a plus.
  • Passion for cycling and a strong understanding of bicycle technology.
  • Commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
