Summary:

As a Machine Millwright you will play a critical role in the maintenance and repair of complex industrial equipment. Responsibilities:

  • Analyze, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair complex industrial equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  • Assist in modifying existing machinery and equipment to support new production techniques or improve equipment reliability.
  • Participate in preventive and predictive maintenance practices to proactively address potential equipment issues.
  • Communicate effectively with co-workers and Team Leaders, actively participating in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Independently troubleshoot, repair, and rebuild mechanical assemblies, both manual and automatic, including electric, pneumatic, or hydraulic systems.
  • Utilize technical drawings, schematics, and input from operators and engineers to isolate and resolve issues in production equipment.
  • Perform installations, repairs, troubleshooting, and maintenance on machinery and equipment as required.

Requirements:

  • Successful completion of TPC educational requirements and a minimum of 3 years of experience in maintaining and repairing industrial equipment.
  • Approved Technical Associates Degree or College Level certificate in Mechanical Discipline with a minimum of 3 years of industrial equipment maintenance and repair experience.
  • Alternatively, a minimum of 7 years of industrial experience in a skilled trade related to machinery maintenance, without formal post-secondary education.
  • Proficiency with trade tools required for equipment maintenance.
  • Demonstrated ability to install, repair, troubleshoot, and maintain various types of machinery and equipment.
  • Experience dismantling and relocating stationary industrial machinery using hand and power tools.
  • Competence in operating hoisting and lifting devices such as cranes, jacks, and tractors safely and effectively.
  • Capability to inspect machinery and equipment to identify irregularities and potential malfunctions.
  • Familiarity with power transmission, vacuum, and pneumatic systems, including basic knowledge of electronic controls.
  • Completion of formalized basic pneumatics and motors/pumps training is essential.
