We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Bookkeeper who is experienced with law firm accounting and billing practices to join our team. As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining financial records, performing various accounting tasks, and ensuring accuracy in financial transactions. If you have a strong background in law firm accounting and possess excellent organizational skills, we would love to hear from you.
Duties:
- Manage all aspects of bookkeeping and accounting processes
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
- Prepare and process billing for firm clients
- Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements
- Conduct general ledger accounting activities
- Reconcile balance sheets and resolve any discrepancies
- Assist with tax preparation and filing
- Analyze accounts and provide recommendations for improvement
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or similar role
- Solid understanding of corporate accounting principles and procedures
- Proficient in using legal practice management software (e.g., TABS3)
- Strong knowledge of account reconciliation and general ledger accounting
- Familiarity with tax regulations and requirements
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong analytical skills to analyze financial data
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members
